Some works were very strong and highly coloured while others were quieter and needed close inspection to unravel their fascinating stories.

The viewer could find legendary creatures, discover collaged landscapes and gaze on painted sky lines.  The island was explored and remapped with cobbled coastlines. Imaginary cities and towns flourished, Gothic gardens were lush with flora and fauna and Classical players frolicked at sacred sites.

Poets drank with wine makers, musicians flanked papermakers, dancers kept company with chefs and printmakers conversed with performers.
