Longitude was an adventure to build with 68 pieces to place. The visions of Tasmania were wild and wonderful.

Atlases had been plundered; contour lines were mapped, embedded and embossed; recipes and stories had been inspired by place names and myths and fables were created to reflect a sense of place.

Several Tasmanian artists had travelled to their map area and made their work on site. Some of the international artists twinned their homeland to the island of Tasmania by evoking geographical and philosophical ties.
